Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how BuyAmTo (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit buyamto.com. By clicking “Accept” on our cookie notice or by continuing to use the site, you agree to our use of cookies as described here.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work properly, remember your preferences and keep your shopping cart and login active between pages.
The cookies we use
1. Essential cookies
These are needed for the store to work and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to things you do, such as adding items to your cart, logging in or checking out.
- Shopping cart and session (for example
woocommerce_cart_hash,woocommerce_items_in_cart,wp_woocommerce_session_*): keep track of what is in your cart and your checkout progress. - Account and login (for example
wordpress_logged_in_*,wordpress_test_cookie): keep you signed in and check that your browser accepts cookies. - Cookie notice: remembers that you have accepted this notice so we do not ask you again on every page.
2. Functional cookies
- Preferences (for example
wp-settings-*,woocommerce_recently_viewed): remember small choices such as recently viewed products. - Performance and caching: help pages load faster for returning visitors.
3. Payment cookies
When you pay online, our payment partner, Paystack, may set its own cookies to process your payment securely and to help detect and prevent fraud. We do not store your card details. These cookies are controlled by Paystack under its own privacy and cookie policies.
Third-party cookies
Some features of the site, such as embedded content, social media links or payment services, may set cookies from other companies. We do not control these cookies. Please check the relevant third party’s own policy for details.
How long do cookies last?
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period, from a few days up to about a year, unless you delete them sooner.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Please note that if you block essential cookies, parts of the store, such as the cart, checkout and your account, may not work properly. Instructions for the most common browsers are available from the help pages of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
